The Broadway revival of Noel Coward's Private Lives, starring Kim Cattrall and Paul Gross, will close on December 31 at the Music Box Theatre. The limited engagement was originally scheduled to run through February 5, 2012. At its time of closing, Private Lives will have played a total of 12 previews and 53 regular performances.
Private Lives tells the story of Amanda (Cattrall) and Elyot (Gross), two ex-spouses who have a surprising run-in at a hotel in the south of France while honeymooning with their respective new significant others. Old love blooms as Amanda and Elyot rediscover their attraction to one another.
Directed by Richard Eyre, Private Lives opened on November 17 after a pre-Broadway run in Toronto. In addition to Cattrall and Gross, the cast includes Simon Paisley Day, Anna Madeley and Caroline Lena Olsson.
